Getting There
The Expedition Area is located in northern Dun Morogh but is hidden in the mountains and not accessible without some help. To get that much needed help you will need to visit the mysterious dwarf found fishing off the docks of Booty Bay. After listening to him do some story telling he will teleport you into the expedition area.
The Tour
When you first arrive in the expedition area you will see a camp of several npcs. One of these npcs is Maximillian who will offer to give you a tour of the area. This tour is recommended for new arrivals to the area so you can get used to the different areas and services that are offered here.

You will visit the Fabled Crafters
the Supply Area
the Frozen Block
the Frozen Lake.

When the tour is complete you will be able to claim one of our special Frozen Cloaks.

The following quests can be found in the Secret Expedition Area :

! The Frozen Hunt - [Dr. Dandruth] - Kill 3 Ice Bears in exchange for a custom frozen trinket.
! Research 101 : Part 1 - [Dr. Dandruth] - Kill Oggleflint in search of the Mysterious Codex.
! Research 101 : Part 2 - [Dr. Dandruth] - Kill Randolph Moloch in search of the Mysterious Codex.
! Research 101 : Part 3 - [Dr. Dandruth] - Kill Ragnaros in search of the Mysterious Codex.
! Research 101 : Part 4 - [Dr. Dandruth] - Kill Lord Marrowgar in search of the Mysterious Codex.
! Research 101 : Part 5 - [Dr. Dandruth] - Kill Blizzard in search of the Mysterious Codex.
! Research 101 : Part 6 - [Dr. Dandruth] - Kill Kuan Zar for the Mysterious Codex.
! Gimme Drugs! - [Dr. Bizarro] - Find the Tome of Medicine to learn some area lore.
! Planetary Alignment - [Dr. Bizarro] - Find the Tome of Planets to learn some area lore.
! Ironhuh? - [Dr. Bizarro] - Find the Tome of Ironforge to learn some area lore.
! Fabled Weapon! - [Dr. Bizarro] - Find the Tome of Fables to learn some area lore.
Read the Lore Books
Hidden around the Expedition Area you will find 4 lore books that will help shed some light on the reason this new zone exists. The four books are :

  • Tome of Fables - Some lore on the Fabled Weapons and how they are crafted.
  • Tome of Ironforge - Some history on the creation of Ironforge.
  • Tome of Planets - Learn some lore on the frozen visitor found in the Expedition Area.
  • Tome of Medicine - Discover why this area exists and why it is filled with doctors.
Fabled Weapons
Once you complete the questline from Dr. Dandruth and attain your Coin of Fables visit the fabled vendors and delect one of our custom Fabled class weapons. For more on this, check out our Fabled Guide.

NPCs
While exploring the Expedition Area you can stop by and visit some of our custom npcs that can be found in this area. These npcs include :

Portia Z'Real - Stop by and purchase some Teleportation Crystals.
Tiernny - Hire some henchmen if you need to.
John Seenya - Stop by and purchase some ilvl 213 item sets from our item set collector.
John Joonya - Stop by and purchase some ilvl 245 item sets from our high-end item set collector.
Jeffrey Wrath - Grab some special items and heirlooms from our server vendor Jeffrey.
Battle Kuan Zar
Kuan Zar will be your last stop in the hunt for the Mysterious Codex. Once you defeat Kuan you will be able to return to Dr. Dandruth with the codex and have your Coin of Fables crafted. If you have already crafted your Coin and Fabled Weapon than you can still battle Kuan for his normal drops.
